Most people when asked 'do you want to protect your home and wealth ' they say 'yes'.

But in truth most people 'don't'. In a recent survey 65% of people had not made a will.

WITHOUT A WILL

• If you die, your spouse may not inherit your whole estate.

• The Government will choose who benefits from your estate under statutory law.

• Your children under 18 could be placed into care if you both die.

• If you are not married, your partner may not inherit anything from your estate.

• If your estate is over £312,000 (£624,000 for married couples) the Government will take 40% in 'Inheritance Tax' which can be mitigated.

• A bank or solicitor may be appointed to deal with your estate and may therefore become one of the major beneficiaries of your estate due to their legal fees.

• Your house could be sold to pay for care-home fees.

• You will leave your family with problems, heartache, potential financial hardship and unnecessary expense at the very worst time when they are grieving. This could continue for several months or years whilst the estate is dealt with.
