SJM WILLS & ASSOCIATED
SERVICES
I would
like to introduce myself, my name is Sue Mason and
SJM Wills & Associated
Services is my own business set up in
winter 2004.
I have a degree in Law and have been
a member of the Institute of Professional Willwriters
since early 2005.
This means I am qualified in
willwriting and I follow a 'Code of Practice' set by
the IPW. I have passed
various exams in my career as a willwriter. Also to
retain the IPW
'Practising Certificate' members have to
update their knowledge and skills annually through a
programme of Continuous Professional
Development.
As a member of the
Institute of
Professional Willwriters I have Professional
Indemnity Insurance of £2million which covers your Beneficiaries and Public liability insurance which
covers me up to £5million. I also subscribe to a
rigorous Code of Practice backed up by a
disciplinary code.
Membership to the
IPW is only
available to those who pass the entrance
examination, or the equivalent run by the 'Law
Society', the 'Institute of Legal Executives' or
the 'Chartered Institute of Bankers'.
I specialise only in writing
Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and associated
documents, and have been doing so since 2004.
We are bombarded by television and the media 'insure
this and that', 'no-win no-pay adverts' and yet, one
of the most important things we neglect to do is, to
write a will.
A high majority don't do this, and they run, or I
should say their families or loved ones, run into
problems with banks, mortgage companies and
bureaucracy.
Please read on and hopefully I can help you.
Lots to lose if
there's 'No Will' and 'Lots to Lose' if its not done
properly
